Food Day

This past Friday, October 24th, Sustainable Landscapes and Food, with the help of Earth Week, hosted Food Day. At 6pm students from various organizations like  BikeFace, The Green Observer and Alpha Phi Omega joined some members of SECS for a potluck at the Red Herring, a local vegetarian and vegan restaurant.
We had a ton of vegan and vegetarian friendly food! Soups, pasta and so many sweets!
After eating and mingling, we had the opportunity to hear from three individuals in the community and ask them some question:  Nicole Bridges the Executive Director of Prosperity Gardens, Dustin Kelly the owner of Autumn Berry Inspired  and Dane Hunter a Grad Student researching how Campus Catering can reduce their Carbon Footprint and become more sustainable.

It was a night full of food, fellowship, knowledge and fun.
